When I look at other people's profiles, a lot of them have cool backgrounds, answers to funny quizzes, etc. How do I get that? Am I missing an option or something?

there are several sites that make profile layouts, just type myspace profile layouts in google or yahoo search

How to get the background is that you search for something like "myspace backgrounds" or something similar to that and some of them will have backgrounds already on there and some will have you upload a photo and choose options, such as if you want them tiled or centered. Then they'll give you a code which you just copy and paste onto one of the sections in "edit profile". Then it should work.
