Is this guy interested? How can i tell?

Last year at college he would playfully tease me about being in a certain place all the time... (even though we never really talked i only shared study periods with him) i wasn't single then but i have been for 6 months now. College has started again and the first few days he'd randomly make eye contact with a funny look/smile on his face.

A coupla days ago we'd been commenting on myspace (i started) and i was taunting him over a quiz saying i'd win the next time etc etc. and he was replying real fast and i noticed he never replied to anyone else...but he then stopped but still comes online?

and the other day at break he'd be looking over (i think! u can tell when someones looking at you from a distance right?!) and before that, when i was around, he and his friends were talking about sport and he started talking bout my country's team even though he was saying they were doing crap...

so i duno, i'm really shy, and he is not!

What can i do? I'm not going up and telling him!

It does sound like he likes you and may be waiting for a sign from you that you like him, too.

Make sure he is aware that you are AVAILABLE also.

There has been communication, so continue with that and conveniently slip in that you are no longer with that guy from 6 months ago...

all guys behave like this when they feel for some1. staring for a distance, tryin to make eye contact, shy at times...hes interested in u... tip: try make him comfortable and u plz dnt shy..feelings will automatically come out!! and yeah give him a peck on his cheek everytime u bud him gudbye..never hesitate!!

If he's not shy like you say. Let him catch you staring at him a few times. Smile at him alot when he talks to you. Give him enough clues that you like him. He'll either pull away if he doesn't like you. Or if he likes you approach you to ask for some coffee or something that if he's not shy like you say, if he doesn't approach you'll still be able to tell, then try to make casual conversation with him every chance you get, talk about school, ect., give him hints about how nice it would be to have a cup of coffee or something but your usually alone at the starbucks or something like that, to give him encouragement to ask you out.
